چکیده

We have built an experimental link-level authenticated ad hoc routing protocol and integrated it with the PSU version of Mobile-IP. The routing protocol is intended to address survivability and link security issues. In our modiied version of Mobile-IP, we authenticate ICMP router discovery packets, which are sent by both Mobile-IP agents and mobile nodes. The router discovery packets allow systems to exchange authenticated MAC and IP addresses. Topology problems caused by tying IP subnet schemes to routing on radio links are solved. The security problems associated with ARP spooong are also reduced. This link-level protocol might be integrated with Mobile-IP on links where increased security is needed, and is complementary to IP Security (IPSEC) mechanisms. It is not intended to function as a higher-level (mobile node as router) ad hoc routing protocol, but might be integrated with such a protocol.

Improving Quality of Service Routing in Mobile Ad Hoc Networks Using OLSR

Mobile ad hoc networks (MANET) are constructed by mobile nodes without access point. Since MANET has certain constraints, including power shortages, an unstable wireless environment and node mobility, more power-efficient and reliable routing protocols are needed. The OLSR protocol is an optimization of the classical link state algorithm. OLSR introduces an interesting concept, the multipoint r...

A Survey of Solutions to Protect Against All Types of Attacks in Mobile Ad Hoc Networks

In recent years mobile networks have expanded dramatically, compared with other wireless networks. Routing protocols in these networks are designed with the assumption that there is no attacker node, so routing protocols are vulnerable to various attacks in these networks. In this paper, we review the network layer attacks and then we simulate the impact of black hole attack on ad hoc on demand...

Security in Wireless Ad Hoc Networks

An ad hoc network is a collection of wireless nodes that dynamically form a temporary network and operates without the use of existing network infrastructure. In the near future, many personal electronic devices will be able to communicate with each other over a short-range wireless channel. We investigate the principal security issues for such an environment. The traditional way of protecting ...

Multipath Node-Disjoint Routing with Backup List Based on the AODV Protocol

In recent years, routing has been the most focused area in ad hoc networks research. On-demand routing in particular, is widely developed in bandwidth constrained mobile wireless ad hoc networks because of its effectiveness and efficiency. Most proposed on-demand routing protocols are built and relied on single route for each data session. Whenever there is a link disconnection on the active ro...

Intuitionistic fuzzy logic for adaptive energy efficient routing in mobile ad-hoc networks

In recent years, mobile ad-hoc networks have been used widely due to advances in wireless technology. These networks are formed in any environment that is needed without a fixed infrastructure or centralized management. Mobile ad-hoc networks have some characteristics and advantages such as wireless medium access, multi-hop routing, low cost development, dynamic topology and etc. In these netwo...
